Highlights of the September 15, 2020 Council Meeting
The Council meeting began with a presentation from Sally McIntyre, General Manager of Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA), on the recent activities of MVCA over the past 18 months. Some of these updates included staffing, the spring flood of 2019, changes to the Conservation Authorities Act and a cut in provincial funding and legislation. The Mississippi Mills Riverwalk Working Group met on the site of the soon-to-be Millworkers Staircase this morning to officially kick-off site preparations for Phase 2 of the Riverwalk. In their first meeting since March, masked committee members were proud to celebrate this key milestone together.

There are a few new requirements when using the depot.
- Residents are asked to have their waste items in cardboard boxes, or other containers that they do not want returned. Bins and containers will not be returned, this includes waste oil containers.

The water bills for the period July 1 - August 31, 2020 are now in the mail. Paperless water bills were emailed yesterday so please check your inbox if you are enrolled for paperless billing. The due date is October 13, 2020. Please contact the Tax/Water Clerk at 613-256-2064 ext 224 if you don't receive a bill.
